Anyways, today for P-day we played Freeze Tag, Ultimate Frisbee (but with a soccer ball cause a kid threw our frisbee into the next yard) and Mafia. It was a lot of fun. There's an Elder in our zone named Elder Leavitt and he's SOOOOOOO funny during Mafia. I seriously laughed so hard that I had tears in my eyes.
Hermana Vorwaller headed to Rancagua this last Tuesday to pick up the new Greenie. I thought she was kidding when she said that she was a Gringa, but as it turns out, she can't be any more Gringa.
Blond hair, blue eyes, tall, thin, beautiful.
And ladies and gentlemen, we welcome Hermana Morrell to the Chile Rancagua mission! She's super sweet. She doesn't understand or speak very much Spanish right now. But she's picking it up. :D
As for investigators, we have one who shows a lot of promise. His name is Sergio. We had a lesson with a member present in the second meeting and he says that he really likes the story of the Restoration. But the problem is that that's all he thinks it is; A story. We're trying to help him to understand that Christ's doctrine is not divided. He was perfect, so there shouldn't be changes in His perfect doctrine. But there are, anyways.
But he likes the pamphlets, and he likes the Book of Mormon. I put a bunch of little sticky tabs in it with a "question of the soul" written on each one so that he would have more interest in reading it, and he would know exactly where to look. He loved that. :D
We have a lesson with him tonight and we're going to bring a member along again. And we are going to invite him to be baptized for the 24th of October.
On Saturday we had our branch activity to celebrate the 18th of September (Chile's Independence Day). We had a pretty good turnout. An inactive member named Rosi came to the activity and brought along her nonmember daughter-in-law. She never let the missionaries come and visit her before because she was "always busy" but after the activity, she said that her doors are always open to us. And she also said that she wants her son Ronnie to be baptized.
That's really cool. Ronnie already has friends in the church and as far as I know he was investigating it when he was 12 (He's 14 now). Now we're going to be able to teach him again and we'll see how he progresses. :D
We had a less-active named Isabel attend church for the first time in 2-3 years. She came to the activity for 18 de Septiembre on Saturday, saw that we have a new Branch President since she last attended, and stayed for all three hours yesterday. Woooo! I have hope! :D
Lastly, one of our recent converts named Pancha (16) has been inactive since two weeks after her baptism, but we were able to visit with her and her family and found out that her younger brother Luis (14) is being a missionary in his own home. As of now Pancha is getting more involved in the church programs. She's going to start going to Seminary and Mutual with Luis this week. WOOOOOOOOO!!!! The prayers are working!
