Week 33

Our baptismal date with Amador is still going strong. He was a little reluctant at first after we taught him about the Word of Wisdom, but we had our zone leaders, Elder Flores and Elder Salas with us, and they gave the most awesome examples so that Amador could understand and more easily commit to giving up coffee cold turkey. (We asked the Elders to accompany us because the church member we were going to bring along canceled at the last minute.)

So yeah! Amador is great. He has a new baptismal date for the 8th of August.

As for our other progressing investigator Natalie, she still hasn't come to church. We're working on that.

As for contacts and lessons, we found a new person this week named Andrea. She's pretty cool. We taught her about the Restoration, and when we got to the first vision of Joseph Smith, she said that she believed it. She's awesome. We're going to set a baptismal date with her in the next lesson.
After we came out of that lesson, we found a bunny in the street. It was just kind of hanging out and eating leaves. There was a man nearby washing his car. We asked him about his rabbit, then from there transitioned into talking about the Gospel. He told us that he had a brother that died three years ago, and it made him rethink a lot about his life. He believes that there's something more after this life, and so he wants to hear more about the Plan of Salvation. We couldn't teach him that day because he was alone, but we have a return appointment to teach him and his wife this week. He has SOOO much faith and he's super receptive. We left him with a pamphlet of The Plan of Salvation so that he can read ahead. :D

That's pretty much it for this week.
Love you all! CIAO!!!!!!
