Week 59

I found a bullet in the street today. Kind of random.
So this week was pretty awesome as far as finding good people goes. We went to Pilar's house and taught The Restoration to her and her three boys. Her husband was only present for part of the lesson, and her daughter was upstairs resting after a wisdom tooth surgery. But we now have four baptismal dates! We'll see how this goes. The main thing is that the family needs to be able to come to church. We're going to work on that. =) Such a good family.
Saturday was Denise's birthday (other investigator), so we made her a birthday card and left it in her gate because she wasn't there. But then as we were passing by to go to a Noche de Hogar with the Catalan family, we found her out front. We asked her if she read the Restoration pamphlet that we left her, and she said that she had read it! But she also said that it was the strangest thing. Because she started to feel something inside. Like the message wasn´t anything foreign to her.

Ohhhhh my gosh! We're so excited to keep helping Denise and her family to know the Gospel! They're the coolest family. They're so warm and super loving. And Denise is always so smiley. =) But such is the norm, we need to find a way to help her come to church. That's something that every investigator struggles with.
We went and saw Andres on Thursday. As usual, he had about fifty bazillion questions for us. But none of them had anything to really do with the lesson. XD Hahahaha!

But that's okay. We were able to help him to resolve a lot of doubts. And he said the prayer at the end!!!!! And it was a great prayer! We're really excited about his progress as well. He´s going to change his job soon as well, so he'll be able to come to church on Sundays!!!!!!!!
But all the same, pray for our investigators, guys. They need to come to church! They're the best. Progressing steadily and keeping their commitments.
So Hermana Chapman and I went to the upper part of our sector and visited the train station. Something interesting always happens up there. It's kind of sketchy at night so we have to go home before the sun starts to go down.

We found a little white-painted shack that had green netting stretched over it. Inside were a bunch of old stuffed animals that were hanging from their necks. So that was weird. Hermana Chapman took a picture.

Then we were contacting a few houses up the street and a lady came out and said, "Hello, Elders."
Immediate bad vibes. But we didn't have to say anything because she continued: "Look. I know why you're here. But I'm here to tell you right away that I´m a Luciferiana. I serve Satan."
Hermana Chapman said, "Why?"
She said, "Because God gives us trials so that we'll become closer to Him. And that's cruel. So I worship Satan."
.....
I wanted to ask her, "Annnnddd.... What has the father of all lies promised you for worshipping him?" Then Hermana Chapman says, "Can we have some water?"
.... Uhhhh. Okay. hahahahahahaha!

So that was that. The lady was very polite, but seriously, I don't know how she became the way she is. What happened in her life to make her think that way? If the Spirit tells us to, we'll go back and try to help her out of her huge mistake. But for now, I'm leaving this one to God.
We went to Buin Zoo two weeks ago, and I still haven't sent a single photo, so I think I´ll do that right now.

Chao for now!
LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!
Keep praying for me and the other missionaries!
